Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to your access to and use of GoSCAD software applications (desktop, Android, iOS, and any future web app) and the goscad.com website (together, the “Service”), operated by Squid Tooth LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Accepting these Terms
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If a term is unclear, email support@goscad.com.
Changes
We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes are effective when posted on this page, or upon your acceptance if we provide a click-through or similar confirmation. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms. Check this page periodically.
License to use GoSCAD
GoSCAD is proprietary software owned by Squid Tooth LLC and its licensors. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use GoSCAD for its intended purpose: designing and exporting parametric models for your own use.
Unless we expressly state otherwise in writing, you may not:
- Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the GoSCAD application (other than your own model files)
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except to the limited extent applicable law forbids this restriction
- Rent, lease, sell, sublicense, or redistribute the application except as allowed by the platform store through which you obtained it
- Remove proprietary notices
- Use the Service to build a competing product by scraping or systematically extracting non-public Service materials
- Circumvent security, rate limits, or access controls on the website or related systems
Your models and content
You own the design files you create with GoSCAD (including .scad source and exports you generate). We claim no ownership of your models.
You are responsible for your models and how you use them, including legality, fitness for a particular purpose, and any physical parts you manufacture or print. CAD and 3D printing involve risk of unfit or unsafe parts; verify dimensions and materials yourself.
Age
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. Do not submit waitlist or other personal information if you are under 13.
Acceptable use of the website
You agree not to:
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or other users’ enjoyment of it
- Abuse the waitlist or support channels (spam, automated abuse, or misleading submissions)
- Attempt unauthorized access to our systems
- Impersonate any person or entity
Third-party notices
GoSCAD is not open source. Portions of the geometry engine incorporate third-party software under their own licenses:
- ChiselCAD language, CSG, import, and export sources — MIT License (see project notices derived from ChiselCAD)
- Manifold geometry kernel — Apache License 2.0, linked when shipped in a given build
Those licenses apply to the respective components. They do not make GoSCAD itself open source. Attribution does not grant you rights beyond those licenses and these Terms.
App Store and Google Play
If you download GoSCAD from the Apple App Store or Google Play, the applicable store’s terms also apply. For App Store downloads, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the extent required. In a conflict between those store terms and these Terms regarding your relationship with Apple or Google, the store terms control for that relationship. These Terms govern your relationship with Squid Tooth LLC regarding the Service.
Third-party links and services
The Service may link to third-party sites or services we do not control. Their terms and privacy policies apply. We are not responsible for third-party content or practices.
Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT MODELS OR EXPORTS WILL BE SUITABLE FOR ANY PARTICULAR PRINT, PART, OR SAFETY-CRITICAL USE.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SQUID TOOTH LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100).
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS; IN THOSE CASES OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Squid Tooth LLC from and against claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Service, your models or printed parts, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that the exclusive venue for disputes relating to the Service or these Terms is the state or federal courts located in Arizona, USA, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there. You and we agree not to bring claims against each other as a class or representative action.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service (including the website or waitlist) for any reason. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including ownership of your models, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, and governing law) will survive termination.
If we do not enforce a provision immediately, we do not waive our right to enforce it later.
Feedback
If you provide feedback, ideas, or suggestions about the Service, you assign to Squid Tooth LLC all right, title, and interest in that feedback, and we may use it without restriction or compensation to you.
Entire agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Squid Tooth LLC regarding the Service and supersede prior agreements on that subject.
