This Privacy Policy describes how Squid Tooth LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use GoSCAD applications (desktop, Android, iOS, and any future web app) and the goscad.com website (together, the “Services”).

Summary

  • GoSCAD apps do not collect, transmit, or share personal data with us today. Your models stay on your device.
  • goscad.com may collect your email if you join the waitlist, plus routine hosting and font-delivery data when you visit the site.
  • We do not sell personal information.
  • To delete waitlist data or ask a privacy question, email support@goscad.com.

GoSCAD applications

The GoSCAD apps are local parametric CAD tools. As currently shipped:

  • We do not collect personal information from the apps.
  • We do not require an account to use the apps.
  • We do not include advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, or similar tracking SDKs that send data to us.
  • Design files (for example .scad models and exports such as STL/3MF) are created and stored on your device. We do not access, upload, or view those files unless you later choose a cloud or sync feature that we add and disclose in an updated policy.

If a platform or store requires a privacy declaration for the app binary alone, that declaration may state that the app does not collect user data. Website waitlist practices below apply only when you visit goscad.com or submit the waitlist form.

Website (goscad.com)

Information you provide

If you join the waitlist, we collect the email address you submit. We use it only to notify you when GoSCAD is available to try (or related product readiness updates you reasonably expect from that signup). We do not use waitlist emails for unrelated marketing lists.

If you email support, we process the content of your message and any contact details you include so we can respond.

Information collected automatically

When you visit goscad.com, our hosting provider (Netlify) may process standard server or CDN logs, which can include IP address, user agent, timestamps, and requested URLs. Those logs are used to operate, secure, and debug the site.

The site loads fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser may contact Google’s servers to download those fonts; that interaction is subject to Google’s practices.

Processors

We use:

  • Netlify — website hosting and waitlist form storage.
  • Google — font delivery for the website only (not for the native apps as currently shipped).

These providers process information on our behalf to run the website. We require them to protect data in a manner consistent with this policy and applicable law, to the extent our agreements with them allow.

How we use information

We use website and support information to:

  • Operate and improve goscad.com
  • Send waitlist notices you requested
  • Respond to support requests
  • Comply with law and protect our rights

We do not sell personal information.

Sharing

We may share information:

  • With service providers who need it to perform work for us (for example Netlify)
  • If required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request
  • To enforce our Terms of Use or protect Squid Tooth LLC, users, or the public
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, with notice as required by law

We may share aggregated or de-identified information that does not identify you.

Retention

  • Waitlist emails: kept until we send the relevant launch/availability notice, until you request deletion, or until we decide the waitlist is no longer needed—whichever comes first.
  • Support emails: kept as long as needed to resolve your request and for ordinary business records.
  • Hosting logs: retained according to our host’s defaults and our operational needs.

Your choices and deletion

You may request deletion of your waitlist email or ask questions about this policy by contacting support@goscad.com. We will honor reasonable requests subject to legal obligations.

There are no app accounts today. If we add accounts or cloud features later, we will update this policy and provide in-product and web deletion paths as required by store policies and law.

You can stop using the website or apps at any time. Browser controls may limit cookies or third-party requests; blocking fonts or similar resources may affect how the site looks.

Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us and we will delete it.

International transfers

We are based in the United States. Information we process may be stored and processed in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. By using the Services, you understand that your information may be transferred to the United States.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted on this page. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the latest revision. If we add analytics, accounts, cloud sync, or other collection in the apps, we will update this policy before or when those features ship.
